Authentication.
Every lot is reviewed by a specialist before it goes under the hammer.
Our process
- Specialist review. Each consignment is examined by a category specialist with a minimum of ten years in the field.
- Documentary evidence. Provenance, exhibition history, prior sale records and conservation reports are catalogued.
- Material testing. Where appropriate, we commission XRF, gemmological certification, or fibre analysis from accredited labs.
- Condition reporting. A full written condition report is available for every lot on request.
Our guarantee
If a lot is later determined to be a deliberate forgery, we will refund the hammer price and buyer's premium in full for a period of five years from the date of sale, subject to the conditions set out in our Buyer's Agreement.
